Brothers and Sisters,

What a week! We are living in unprecedented times. As many of you know, Vigo County schools have closed and will not allow us to gather on Sundays at Wilson. As a result, the deacons have voted unanimously to cancel corporate worship gatherings for the next two weeks until March 28. This includes community groups. This may go longer—we will evaluate as things develop.

We can still worship and love each other:

1. We will be live-streaming our Worship service on Sunday at 10AM. We plan to use Facebook as our streaming platform and streaming on Redeemer’s Facebook page. But we are still working on the plan, so stay tuned!

2. We are so planning to creatively use Facebook and Realm to stay in touch. If you need prayer or have any immediate needs reach out. Don’t be isolated just because we are not physically in the same place. Thankfully we live in a time where we have multiple ways to connect digitally. Let’s take advantage of the resources we have to stay in community.

3. Pray for one another, our elected officials, medical staff and leadership, and those who are sick. Pray that God will have mercy and the virus will be quickly eradicated.

4. This is an opportunity for us to display the love of Christ in word and deed. Listen carefully to others as they express their fears and point them to the hope we have in Christ. Look for opportunities to serve neighbors who are unable to get groceries or run errands.

We will be in touch with further resources and encouragement. Please reach out if you need help or want to talk to someone.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor David
